team thompson: 2 weeks with Blakely

Dear Blakely,

Today you are two weeks old, and we just got back from your check-up. You did great! And my how you've grown!! You are now up to 8lbs. 9oz. and 20.5 inches long. Your official stats are 57% in weight, 58% in height, and 38% in head. Your doctor said you are perfectly proportionate and growing wonderfully! They had to prick your heel again, and that was no fun. But you did so good! You even let us run through Target and eat lunch at Chick-Fil-A afterward.

You still love bath time, and shampooing your hair is hilarious- You absolutely love it! As soon as I start rubbing your tiny head you completely relax. In fact, you are usually so relaxed that your eyes roll back, and then you poop all over your towel. And speaking of poop, you have that mastered. You poop and toot more than anyone I know. I think you even have your daddy beat in that department :)

Getting dressed is fine until I have to pull something over your head. This makes Mommy sad because I love to dress you up in all your cute outfits. Hopefully you will get over that very soon. You also recognize our voices, and you stare up at us with those big baby blues when we are talking.

You have done so much in your short 2 weeks of life. Lets recap!

The Morris family came to visit

2 days after we came home from the hospital, you had to go back for a check-up.

Your weight was up to 7lbs. 5oz. Almost back to your birth weight!

You went on your first trip to Target that same day. Look how tiny you are!

Uncle Bryan and Aunt Melissa came to visit that night, and you got lots of snuggles.

And of course Grandpa Jerry was there- He can't get enough of you. We call him the baby hog :)

You had a death grip on daddy's finger, but i'm pretty sure he didn't mind.

You are just the sweetest baby, we can't stop taking pictures of you!

You went on your first walked and absolutely loved it! Your eyes were wide open the entire time.

Daddy was so excited to take you to Chick-Fil-A with him. You went at one week and then again today at two weeks. He would love to make this a weekly tradition...

Our favorite friends, The Millers came all the way from Oklahoma this weekend to see you!

Paxton and Holli may already have an arranged marriage set up. They are so cute together- This pic was taken just after Pax leaned over and gave Holli kisses. So sweet!

Miss Priss, we have had the best two weeks with you in our lives!

We are so blessed to be your parents, and to get to watch you learn and grow. I feel like you are changing by the second, and you just get more and more beautiful everyday! We have enjoyed every minute with you, and we are excited to see what next week brings! We love you so much, sweet girl. Thank you for all of the joy you have brought into our lives! I can't imagine a day without you.
