last weekend we went to our first Rockies game and it was great fun!

ryan said he is going to figure out how to get our grass to look like this:



it was nice and sunny until it rained. go figure...

it was youth appreciation day and it was really cute to see how excited all the kids

were to be walking on the field

below is their mascot Dinger.

i was confused as to why they had a dinosaur as a mascot, so i looked it up and apparently, during construction they found fossil remains of a triceratops in the ground where Coors Field now stands. i know you were dying to know that.

another fun dino fact: the smallest known dinosaur is the Compsognathus, and it was the size of a chicken

then it rained, so we left.

i also did a little experimenting this weekend.

i had an ugly, deformed candle that i didn't want to throw away because it smelled really good. so i attempted to remake a new one with the wax.

first i chopped it into chunks and threw it in a pot:

then it melted into this:

which i poured into this:

then i had ryan hold the wick in place:

but he lost patience and rigged this:

which dried and turned into this:

cute, right?!
