estes park

Ryan's parents were in town this weekend so we wanted to do something none of us had done. we decided to visit Estes Park and The Rocky Mountain National Park.

here are pics from Estes Park:

there was this river that flowed through the town and they had restaurants and shops all along the river walk. we found this great patio for lunch that was on the river.

this store carried some of the most unique jewelry! the designer takes butterfly wings that she finds in the rainforest and turns them into jewelry. Sue bought a necklace and i bought a pair of earrings.

then we drove to The Rocky Mountain National Park. i took way too many pictures, so here is the condensed version.

it. was. beautiful.

this chipmunk walked right up to us:

this river was freezing! Ryan and i walked through it, but our toes were still numb for 5 minutes after we got out of it.

on our way home, we drove through Boulder and checked out The University of Colorado campus. it was not that impressive (it was just dirty and kind of gross).
