since we moved into our house 3 years ago, all we had in the front was a black bench that my mom gave us as a house warming present. we have been wanting to do a little more sprucing, so we re did our flowerbeds this spring (pics to come) and recently decided to add some black shutters to the front of the house to give it a little more character:

i kinda love them!
with the new black shutters in place, we had our red door painted black to match and also put in a black storm door. we love it! i think the black is way sexier than the red

it's nice having the storm door so that the furbabies can sit and look out, and it lets in SO much light!
now i just need to make a new cute wreath for the door and i will be set!
Black is definitely sexy. I love it.
