Blakely- 19 Months

It's been a while, and the little miss is growing so fast and doing so much lately, I needed to document it. This little 19 month old girl is wearing size 4 diapers, size 5 shoes, and mostly size 12-18 clothes. She says please and thank you "peas" and "tay too" and talks all the time. Like ALL THE TIME. my grandparents were here for the holidays, and my Pawpaw even asked "So, does she ever shut up?" Haha. Try living with her...

She is so sweet with her stuffed animals and babies. She always kisses them, and tucks them in with a blankie. She even makes Elmo sit in a high chair when she's eating so he can eat too. She makes me leave food and water on his tray just like her. Such a little mommy! She celebrated her second Christmas, and was completely spoiled again. And she looked like such a big girl at Christmas Eve service:

We started her in gymnastics classes at Little Gym, and she loves it so much! Her coach is wonderful and she is catching on super quick! Of course her favorite part is going for ice cream "eye keam" afterward. Just like her mama!

Right after Christmas, Blakely decided to climb out of her crib one night, and she hit her head pretty good on the way down. So that next day we converted it to a toddler bed. She did shockingly well with the transition. She got out once the first night and fussed at the door for a minute. But when we didn't respond, she just went right back to her bed and slept the whole night. Mornings are so funny now because when she wakes up, she walks to her door and knocks for us, calling "mommy...daddy..." I always go up and knock back asking "who is it?" And she always replies "me, Blakely!" She is so fun!! We just have such a blast with her.

She has gotten all of her teeth in except for those two year molars, and her blonde hair just keeps growing and growing. One of her favorite things right now is playing dress up and pretend. My mom got her this adorable playhouse for Christmas, and she loves to go in there and cook while talking on the phone.

And she loves, loves to dress up. Especially as Doc McStuffins and doctor her toys. She always says "all better!" When she's done.

This kid is obsessed with lollipops!! Seriously, she needs help. It takes her no less than 5 minutes to choose exactly which blue one she wants. And then again, maybe it's pink. Or do I feel like orange... Oh it's irritatingly hilarious. So one day, I just let her taste them all before choosing one. She nearly died from excitement.

I just can't believe how much kids retain. She hears or does something once and remembers it forever. It's crazy! I wish I had just an ounce of that. But the same goes for her energy level... They should bottle that crap!!

She knows all of the main colors, counts to six (minus one, for some reason), knows lots of letter sounds, and is speaking so well. Just last night she was playing with her Jake and the Neverland Pirates toy in the bath, and when she dropped Jake under the bubbles she said "Uh oh, Jake! Where are you?" That sounded like such a big girl. I got teary watching and listening to her. I just can't believe she's getting so big. And speaking of getting big, she has been in swim lessons for several months now, and was just promoted to level three, which is no-parent from here on out. Eek! I'm so proud of her accomplishment, I'm just nervous to send her on her own. She doesn't seem big enough for this! But I also didn't think she would be floating on her back by herself or kicking her feet, moving her arms, and blowing bubbles all at the same time. She never ceases to amaze me.

And amazing she is! She has been a rockstar at potty training! Before swim yesterday she asked to go poo poo on the potty, and she did. Then after class, she ran to the potty and went tee tee before going home. At home, she still has accidents, but is getting way better at making it to the potty. And after she goes, she always tries to wipe herself then flushes it and waves saying "bye bye tee tee". She's just growing up so fast!

I just love hearing her say new words/mispronounce words and her sweet little baby voice is just so precious. A few of my favorites are: water (dado), love you (luh loo), Holli (lalala), blankie (naynee). And whenever she tells someone bye whether it be daddy, her friends, or the checkout lady, she always says "Luh loo, bye bye, luh loo" every. single. time.

Oh this girl melts my heart and makes me so giddy. I just loves her so much, and I'm incredibly grateful I get to spend every day enjoying her.

  1. Ahhh! You're back! I'm so glad!

I can't believe she's already ready for potty training! And all those words...wow!

My favorite part is when she gets out of bed and knocks on the door. She's so polite. Pax just busts out and walks around the house. I also love the first picture of her in the jean jacket with the pigtails! She looks like a little girl!
