Lilypie First Birthday tickers

2.20.2012

27 weeks and weekend recap

on friday, i went for a run with Kallie and then we took the kitties to the vet for a check up and leukemia shots. they were pretty wiped out from all the excitement...

we also made a trip to target to get a storage system for baby's closet.
i had a few "helpers" while putting it together:

as you can tell, this guy was the most helpful:

here is the final product:

i only bought 3 baskets, but i have a feeling i may need a few more

on saturday, we met up with mom for mani/pedis:

and we went to a lighting store to pick out a chandelier for the nursery. we found JUST the right one.
i CANNOT wait until it comes in!

mom, you're the best!!

we also found this little beauty to put above baby's dresser.
i absolutely love it!

that night we decided to see "This Means War" at Studio Movie Grill. this was the first movie we have been to since we lived in Colorado.
TWO years ago...
it was really cute. definitely not a typical romantic comedy. there was lots of action, and lots of humor. you will not leave the theatre crying because of a sweet ending, i promise you that.
reese is precious, and well, so are the boys :)

we received a nice surprise from our sweet neighbor. she came over last night to bring us this adorable diaper cake she made to match the nursery:

it held lots of goodies that i'm sure will come in handy when baby gets here. how thoughtful is she?!

now onto the BOB (Big Ole' Belly).

here we are at 27w6d.
i am already in the third and FINAL trimester of this pregnancy!

haha notice the huge eraser mark from where i originally misspelled "trimester"

i absolutely CANNOT believe how fast this time has flown by. this tiny little baby is such a wiggle worm (as you can tell by my deformed belly). she is seriously moving all the time. i love that you can see the movement from the outside- it makes it so fun! i have had several movements actually tickle and make me jump because of the weird sensation. it's quite humorous.

we just got back from our 28 week appointment this morning, and doc says everything is right on track! baby is growing and measuring perfectly, and her heart rate was 143. i am now up 17 pounds, and we start going back every 2 weeks to measure progress. they scheduled a c-section for the week after baby is due in case she decides to be stubborn and hang out a while. it is scheduled for 5/21/12.
so if she is not here before then, we will get to meet our little love bug then!

i almost feel like time is going by too fast, but i'm sure i will be singing a different tune in a few months...
