halloween and doctor visit

this year for halloween was quite exciting now that our neighborhood is almost completely finished. we sat on the porch with our neighbors and handed out candy and admired all the kiddos in costume. we had lots and lots of princesses and super heros. it was very cute. 

the weekend before, we carved pumpkins so that we could have them ready for halloween.

ryan's pumpkin was used to house these flowers he got me so i could use the vase as a candle holder. :)

yesterday, we had our 12 week apointment. Yay for surviving the first trimester!

baby's heartbeat was 168, and doc said everything is looking good! i am up a pound now, and starting to feel super bloated. can't wait to have an actual bump, and not just pudge...

we are going in for a 13 week early detection test next wednesday that will check for markers for Downs and any other defects. i don't care so much about that. what i do care about, though, is that they can usually determine the sex of the baby at that scan. my doc said about 98% of the time they can tell what the baby is, and i can't wait!!
