Lilypie First Birthday tickers

and... we're back!

now that ryan and i are both back home and settled into our house, i thought it would be nice to bring back the old bloggity. not that we are all THAT exciting, but because it is fun to document our happenings and to be able to look back on them later.

so, here is what we have been up to...

i moved back home from colorado in september when i accepted a job offer from a former client. turns out THAT wasn't my brightest idea...

ryan moved back about 5 months later, and things are now back to normal.

i have a new job. MUCH better!

ryan is still happy with his job. yippee!

so things are good.

life is good.

speaking of life being good... today is good friday.

this day commemorates the passion and death of our Lord Jesus Christ.

i plan on watching The Passion of the Christ tonight. i'm not sure if i am looking forward to this as it is always hard to get through. it is a very real depiction of the last twelve hours in the life of Jesus, and i often find myself screaming at the t.v. "Leave him alone! That's ENOUGH!"

i tear up just looking at this image from a scene in the movie. i think that's good, though. Jesus' death shouldn't be all puppies and rainbows.

it is often sugar coated in church so that things don't get too tense... but as Christians, we need this reminder of all that He did for us. all the pain and suffering He endured for us. i like that this movie gives us that real-life image of what it was like in those twelve hours so that we can really know just how much He went through for us. it's incredible. He's incredible.

i urge you to take a moment to remember and thank the Lord for the pain and the torture that Jesus suffered. all for you. because He loves us that much. we serve an awesome and mighty God!

Happy Easter, everyone!
