it's spring???

apparently this is what spring looks like in colorado...

and apparently Ryan thinks he's in Hawaii (what's with the shorts and sandals in the snow?) he is obviously from Texas!

we can't even play ball with kallie. she can never dig it out of the snow...

we received something very exciting in the mail last week! his name is Flat Stanley and he was sent to me by my youngest cousin, Macie. i remember making a Flat Stanley when i was in elementary school so i thought it was so cool that i got to do it for her.

what you do is take him around your town and take pictures with him, and then you write a little letter to the class explaining all the fun things you did.

so, our first trip with Stanley was to a Nuggets game- look how excited he was:

then we took him to downtown Denver and showed him around:

he visited the Coors Field where the Colorado Rockies play:

he then went to Invesco Field where The Broncos play:

we were invited by one of Ryan's work buddies to go to a gala for The Nuggets (basketball), The Avalanche (hockey), and The Mammoths (lacrosse) players. It was on the basketball court, and all the players just walked around and hung out with everyone. they had food, drinks, poker, give aways, and all sorts of cool things.

and it turned out to be 8 inches in just a couple of hours!

since it is (technically) spring and my feet are SO badly wanting to get out of socks and into flip flops, we decided to get mani/pedis yesterday. it was so nice except when i had to put my boots back on afterward to walk through the snow... boo
