Lilypie First Birthday tickers

celebrate good times.... come on!

happy monday/mlk day.

here is a recap of the week:

- on friday, britt was offered the job full time at tfr. YAY for britt!!! you are a ROCKSTAR!

- i had an interview that same friday with a wonderful family for a full time nanny position and i also got the job offer! and to make things even better, they introduced me to another family needing some help with their little boy, so it will be like 2 jobs in 1= double pay= just about what i was making at my last job but WAY BETTER (cuz i will be playing with toddlers and not to mention WAY less stressful) HOOOORAY!

- we went to arapahoe basin (or A Basin as the locals call it) with a coworker of ryan's. we call him "tom talksalot" because well, he talks. ALOT. nice guy, he just doesn't shut up. ever. so we decided he will be a short dinner friend, not a long car trip friend. but whatever, we had a good time. and i pretty much got my s turns down which makes boarding WAY more fun!

here is a pic of the mountain:

and here is the map of the front side of the mountain:

i have some more pics but they are on my phone, so once i figure out how to upload those i will post them.

- on our way back from the mountain, "tom talksalot" took us on a detour to red rocks. this was very cool. they have an outdoor amphitheater for concerts and movies stuck right in the middle of some massive natural red rocks: http://www.redrocksonline.com/ and there is a restaurant and wedding/party venue at the top. can't wait to go back for a show!

- we picked up kallie from her puppy play date at petsmart and her report card was awesome. they wrote that she was "romping and rolling" (haha) and that she "made lots of friends." what a good girl.

- i'm sure petsmart was much better than the next day at the dog park. oh wow, she was constantly mounted by 3 dogs. sometimes 2 at once. poor thing.

this is what she looked like afterward: she slept with her head under the bed! (haha) i definitely DO NOT blame her. rough day!

- we tried another church on sunday, cherryhills community church and it reminded us alot of the church ryan grew up in that his parents still attend. it was actually referred to us by the family that i will be nannying for. yes, nannying. it's a word.

-we bought a bottle of pinot (to celebrate the new job) and watched the golden globes while the kitties did this:

and this:

SO CUTE!

- and lastly, i am trying a little experiment. don't be scared. it is with my hair. i have been waiting for my brilliant brunette shampoo and conditioner to run out so i can go poo-less. i still wash my hair, just not with your traditional shampoo. i used a mix of baking soda and water (1.5 tbs baking soda and 1 cup water) for the shampoo, and a mix of apple cider vinegar and water (1 tbs vinegar and 1 cup water) for the conditioner. this is a frugal, easy, toxic-free way to care for your hair. there is no harsh detergent or chemicals (like in shampoo) and it is practically free. you probably already have baking soda, and apple cider vinegar costs $1/bottle. and my hair feels clean and it dried MUCH faster. it also is WAY less frizzy. i am beyond excited about this discovery! you should give poo-free a shot. and let me know what you think. unless you hate it...
