33 weeks and weekend recap

at 33 weeks, baby is about the size of a honeydew (between 4-5 lbs.)

her head circumference has increased by nearly half an inch just this week, and she may grow up to a full inch this week alone! no wonder i feel like i have doubled in size this week...
although baby only weighs 4-5 pounds, once you add in the placenta, amniotic fluid, extra blood, and BOOBS, i have at least 12 pounds of baby and her life-support gear smooshed up in there!

i have been having lots of Braxton Hix contractions which just reminds me that we are getting so close! also, i have been feeling her hiccups like crazy lately. they happen mostly at night, and i love it. we have our 34 week appt. on wednesday, and i can't wait to hear her little
heartbeat and find out how much she has grown.

we had a fun, event-filled weekend! it's definitely Spring around here, and it has been sunny and warm, and everything is in bloom!

i took Thursday off to rest, work on baby's room, and knock out some school work. and on Friday, i got to break in my new TOMS from my sweet little sis:

after class on Friday, i actually laid out bare belly and all (in the privacy of my backyard, of course) before we met up with some friends for dinner before Ryan's soccer game (where he scored 2 goals!). Chris, Crystal, and baby Camdyn have lived in our neighborhood for as long as we have (4 years) and we have just recently started hanging out with them since the boys play on the same soccer team.

and on Saturday, i was treated to a lovely mommy-to-be day. Ashlee coordinated the event that started at Brio in Watters Creek for lunch and mommy gifts (so sweet!). and then we headed to Envy Nail Spa for mani/pedis. this was such a treat! i love all of these ladies and enjoy their company anytime we are together, but having some girl time with them was really fun! thank you all for such a great day!

that night, Ryan and i tried out a new church that we have heard lots of great things about. it's called Hope Fellowship and it's in Frisco. they have several worship times, a wonderful children's ministry, and tons of life groups to choose from. we enjoyed our experience, and we look forward to going back next weekend!

Sunday was the usual work day, and then a soccer game. but i received a few gifts from another sweet resident when i got in:

and here she is in all her glory.
